[Latest]Trips & Tricks - Windows Start Menu & Metro App Not Working Fix

Hello Guys,

I today Welcome to my another post. Just before writing this post I ran into this Problem that my start menu wasn't working my edge icon had disappear and all Metro apps were not working. I got sick of all this and started googling for a fix of this problem. The only working fix of this problem I found was doing something that I had shared with you guys earlier in this Post.

Here is The Fix:-

  1. First Of All Create a new local administrator account. (to open cmd right click on your taskbar and click task manager and then in task manager click file and createa new task. write cmd and click on the box to run the task as admin.)
  2. Sign Out From Your Og account and Sign in to your new account. After you finish signing in meaning you are at your desktop screen check that your satrt menu works or not,If not then reset your pc if it shows thaen continue reading.Now, you log out from your newly created account and log in to your old account.(It's pretty Confusing. Isn't it?)
  3. Like previous Post Enable Show Hidden Files and the go to C:\users\<new account username>\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\ and copy every file present there and paste it i a new folder in C:\FolderName.(If You get an error you have to restart computer/laptop)
  4. Now go back to your New Account and Enable Show hidden files in this Account too. Now Copy the files from the new folder you created in C drive and paste it in C:\Users\<Og Account name>\AppData\Local\TileDataLayer\Database\ and replace them,(if error restart)
  5. Now login to your old account and  Download a file from here:- http://www.mediafire.com/download/pdm28vdew37svzh/10services_default.bat
  6. No pace this file in C drive.(Do not put in any folder)
  7. Now run CMD as admin as told you how to do above. now paste this code:- C:\10services_default.bat and click enter. After everything is complete restart you PC. 
  8. Now you see everything is working perfectly. If Not then Reset Your PC:)
If you want you can delete your new account as its not important anymore.
